Facing the one-win San Francisco 49ers Sunday night in MetLife, the Giants needed to come away with a win. The 49ers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but did not last long. The giants the evened the score and kept the lead until 1:45 left in the fourth quarter. Giants fans have seen their team give away two fourth quarter leads this year and did not wan to see a third. Giants got the ball back with 1:41 left to go and all three timeouts. Hamstring injuries were keeping Giants top two receivers Beckham and Randle on the sideline during the final drive. Manning connected with Vereen three times out of the backfield to get the Giants to San Francisco's 20-yard line with 30 seconds and no time outs. Beckham entering the game for the first time on the drive drew a pass-interference call stopping the clock with 21 seconds at the 49ers 12-yard line. The next play Eli throws to TE Larry Donnell for the game-winning touchdown leading the Giants to a 30-27 win, putting the Giants in sole possession of first place in the division at 3-2.
